The Big Picture :
Yelahanka Methodist Church belongs to the Methodist Family of the United Methodist
Church in USA.
The Methodist Church in India (MCI) has a history of about 150 years. MCI is very much indegenous, by and for Indians. You can know more about the Methodist Church Organization and administration in the inner pages.
 
Yelahanka Methodist Church began 5 years ago as an outreach of the Richmond Town Methodist Church  (RTMC) which belongs to Bangalore District of the South India Regional Conference. It started as weekly Bible Studies in the home of a RTMC member, Mr.J.P.Hirekodi who was residing in Yelahanka. Now it has a membership of about 30 regular families and many visiting families.
 
The Yelahanka Methodist Church has a vision to build individuals and families live a Scripture-based personal life, congregation with a lively worship and reach out to the unreached and unchurched. Prayer and Counselling are given utmost importance for the growth of its life.
 
Location
Our Church is located in Yelahanka, a township in Bangalore, which is known as the silicon city of India.
 
Membership
It has members from various walks of life. There are members in various professions such as IT, teaching, Doctors, etc. who prefer to worship in English. It also has lively believers from categories of company workers, daily labours etc. who prefer to worship in their Mother tongues viz.,Tamil and Kannada.
 
Administration
It has a voluntary adhoc committee working towards have the provision of a Pastoral charge. Rev. T. David Livingston and his family is shepherding the congregation.
 
The Church has a liking towards Music, Worship, deeply knowing the Lord and His Word, Evangelism and helping the needy.
It emphasises the ministry to children, youth along with the adults. It has a special concern towards the Youth of Yelahanka, both Christian and other backgrounds.
